The homeowner in Long Farm Village wanted a grill station, outdoor living, and dining space with a clean modern feel. We achieved this modern look through the use of painted white brick, light granite countertops and light colored travertine floors. To tie back into the white brick and siding on the house.
The 8’ brick accent wall is a focal feature with a light weight cable trellis system that allows fragrant vines to trail up the wall. There are also two gas lanterns that on either side of the trellis on brick columns also helping to define the space. In front of the wall is the fire pit seating area. We used a gas concrete fire bowl with blue glass to add a pop of color to the bright neutral palette. The grill station is tucked in on the existing back porch to maximize the useable space of the narrow yard. It’s “L” shape allows for plenty of room for grilling and prep space as well as a bar height seating area for guests. There is also a separate dining area for enjoying a meal outside on cooler days.
